Anti-Drug Program

The Anti-Drug program at Bayport Pipeline, Inc. was designed to conform to the anti-drug program established by the Department of Transportation. The program is continually being revised to conform with changes in the industry. The goal of the program is to ensure a safe and effective work environment for the employees of Bayport Pipeline, Inc. and our clients.

Prior to employment at Bayport, each applicant is required to submit to a pre-employment drug test. Only applicants who test negative will be hired at Bayport. At the time of application and again at time of hire, each individual will be required to review our Anti-Drug program to have an understanding of its requirements and guidelines.

Random testing will be performed for those employees governed by the anti-drug program. A minimum of 50% of covered employees will be tested on an annual basis, with random selection performed quarterly. Random selection is performed by placing names of applicable employees in a hat, and selecting the required quantity of names.

All employees whose performance either contributed to an accident or potentially contributed to an accident will be required to submit to a drug test within 32 hours of the accident. An additional test is required prior to returning to duty.

Bayport feels very strongly that a safe and effective work place is a work place free of drugs and alcohol. We remain current with the industry, update and revise our anti-drug program accordingly. Each and every employee is important to Bayport, and we feel an in-place anti-drug programs helps to ensure a safe work place for our employees.
